However, catching a leech is not so easy like earthworms or wrigglers. Thus, you can buy it from any fishing store. One can store the leeches in the refrigerator to ensure longevity. It is the wriggling movement of the leeches attract the fishes in the water. But make sure you keep yourself safe from these parasitic worms.

  Freshwater Clams and Mussels

Clams and Mussels are available in the shallow waters. These are jelly-like substance, so dry them in the sun before using them as lures. Soft clams and mussels are the favorite food of the fishes, so you can use them easily to catch your favorite fish.

Many fishers opt for insects. These are cost-effective and also attract fishes. However, the size of the fish matters during fishing. A giant insect will, in turn, scare the fish away.
